Hello! My
name is Erika Gomez-Schanne and I am a Literacy Coach in Passaic, New
Jersey.
I graduated from William Paterson
University with a BA in Elementary Education and History. I have my M.Ed. in
Reading and have recently completed my M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. I
currently hold the following New Jersey teaching certifications:
K-8 Standard
English as a Second Language (ESL)
Bilingual Education
Reading Specialist
Supervisor
Principal
My teaching experience includes
grades K - 3, as well as bilingual and ESL education. This is now my 12th
year as an educator.
I have been married for 9 years to
my husband Christopher and we are parents to an energetic golden retriever named Leia.
My hobbies include traveling,
reading (of course!), photography, music, and history. I have an
insatiable curiosity and a strong love of learning, things I inherited from my
mother.
